Following a historic closure, Science Museum Oklahoma is making plans to reopen its doors on June 1 with comprehensive new safety precautions, ticket processes and changes to the way guests will explore SMO.
Science Museum Oklahoma is making it easier to add new ways to explore, learn and play at home with drive-up, curbside service from SMO’s museum store, The Science Shop. As thanks for supporting the museum, all purchases will include a pass to return to SMO when the museum reopens.
In an effort to protect the health of employees, guests and our extended community, Science Museum Oklahoma will temporarily close to the public beginning on Sunday, March 15, through the end of March. A new 7-part gardening series perfect for those who want to start a home garden, who have a “black” thumb, or who simply want to learn more about gardening is kicking off on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Science Museum Oklahoma in the lead up to the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in April.
Science Museum Oklahoma is jumping into the holiday spirit this Christmas season with activities throughout the month of December including transforming the museum into Santa’s science lab on Dec. 21, tours of the museum’s 1929 Pullman parlor car and a Noon Year’s Eve celebration on Dec. 31 — all included with admission or museum membership.
